UPDATE 4 12:33pm EST: Twitter PR is in full swing now responding with tons of information like "We are aware of the issue and are looking into it." Gee, thanks Twitter! Maybe you are sharing too much with us.

UPDATE 3 12:29pm EST: Some users are reporting having access but the service still seems to be down in most areas.

UPDATE 2 11:48am EST: Twitter finally acknowledges the problem "Users may be experiencing issues accessing Twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue."
