TV Ratings 10/2/12: New Fox Sitcoms Slide as New Girl Holds

Last week, Fox premiered Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project. In their second airings, both shows dropped. B&K dropped 23% in the key demo and Mindy dropped 20%. Meanwhile, the show that aired between them--New Girl--did pretty well:

All three sitcoms had a higher percentage of men in their audiences than last week. Mindy's show dropped more in the female component of the demo than the male. We'll see what happens next week, but neither show started very high. Further drops would put their prospects in question. One positive thing is that both shows skew pretty young.
