Fox has four genre shows this TV season. Ratings performance may determine how many of them make next season. The third episode of Alcatraz, airing January 30th, 2012, slipped 8% to a 2.78 Adults 18-49. But, if you track that performance against last Fall's Terra Nova, it's still slightly ahead slightly. But, both shows are behind last week's debut of Touch, which pulled a 3.93 rating last week coming out of an American Idol lead-in.
Alcatraz has to start flattening out, though. It can't keep dropping.
Because I focused on Chuck's Friday 1/27 ratings yesterday, I didn't report Fringe. Fringe usually faces Grimm, which was preempted by the series finale of Chuck. Grimm gets higher ratings than Chuck and there is more audience duplication betweeen Grimm and Fringe than Fringe and Chuck. So, Fringe built slightly for the third week in a row. Women 18-49 grew a lot given Grimm does better with chicks than dudes. Men 18-49 dropped.

I'm not very confident this is enough for renewal, unless a higher power gets involved.
