The good news is that the final two hours of Chuck did pull in the highest numbers of the season. The not-so-good news is that the series finale still didn't pull in more viewers than last year's season finale "Chuck vs. the Cliffhanger" or the mid-season faux finale "Chuck vs. the Push Mix".

The average Adult 18-49 rating for the 2-hour block was up 17% compared to the January 20th episode off of only a 5% increase in households. When you see that happen in a ratings report, it means more viewers per household. In other words, more people watched the show together as opposed to alone.
Viewers 50 years old or older have been more loyal than younger adults all season. Thus, their increase in viewing was not as big as the younger demo. Men 18-34 showed up mostly for the 2nd hour. The first hour had the same rating as the previous week.
As a bonus, here are the A18-49 rating by quarter hour. Clearly, there are some people who just tuned in for the end of the episode, which pulled nearly a 1.4 rating:

The last chart below compares "Chuck vs. The Goodbye" to other "finales". The most problematic demographic all season has been Men 18-34. 40% fewer guys in that age group watched than watched "Push Mix" about a year ago.
The Chuck finale will probably have a significant lift when the "Live + 7's" come in. We'll report that in a few weeks.
